Marshawn Kneeland Dies at 24: Dallas Cowboys Defensive End Tragically Passes Away

 The Dallas Cowboys organization woke up Thursday morning to devastating news — young defensive end Marshawn Kneeland has tragically passed away at just 24 years old.

The Cowboys confirmed the news in an official team statement released at 8:35 a.m. regarding Kneeland’s sudden death:

“It is with extreme sadness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically passed away this morning. Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our organization. Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend Catalina and his family.”

Marshawn Kneeland Was in His 2nd NFL Season

Kneeland was only in the middle of his second season with Dallas. Just three days earlier he scored his first career NFL touchdown in the Cowboys’ Monday Night Football loss to the Arizona Cardinals — recovering a blocked punt in the end zone.
